What is Tailor Made London?
Nothing defines our era as much as the quest for individuality. The modern customer demands products and performance that matches their needs and tastes perfectly - Nowhere is this more true than in what we wear - after all, our clothes define who we are.
The notion that owning a bespoke suit is a luxury only few could afford is a relatively modern one. In fact until the 1960s, tailored suits were worn by working men of all ages and classes. Founded in 2008, Tailor Made London was born out of the desire to bring elite tailoring back to a mass audience.
Our philosophy is to offer high quality clothing at off the peg of prices, and to achieve this with garments made using German tailors and British cloth rather than exploitative third world sweatshops. The company goal is to create a global brand based on the ethos of producing quality tailor made products for the mass markets using the latest high tech processes and traditional tailoring practices. An example of this can be seen in our fabric cutting process which involves cutting the cloth to your exact measurements and therefore reducing the expensive and environmentally harmful cloth wastage problem that traditional tailors experience.
What makes Tailor Made London unique?
The technology that we use involves taking precise body measurements using 3D Laser Body Scanner, which in just 10 seconds creates a map of the body and forms the basis for creating a garment that not only fits perfectly, but is also tailored to the client’s personality through a wide choice of cloth and finishes. The finished article is cut to fit the individual perfectly without the numerous, tiresome, superfluous and time-consuming visits to the tailor as are needed by Savile Row bespoke tailors.
The advantages of our process over conventional tailors or online tailors is that the whole process is based on a multitude of accurate measurements; is contact free and only relies on a single consultation, saving even more time over conventional tailors. No more tailors’ measuring tape and no fittings are required.
The average price of a 2-piece bespoke suit made from our Savile Row quality cloths is just £750, which is hand made in Germany, and would take between 2 and 4 weeks to deliver to the client.
In the not too distant future we are looking to develop on a online software tool that once you have been scanned you will be able to then see a visual representation of how the suit will look on your body.
