How To Dress For A First Date.
The dating world can be a stressful situation as you want to make a good impression. However, sometimes nerves can get the better of us, from constant sweating to nervous rambling. Although we may not be able to give you advice on how to date, we can offer you a better insight on how to dress for a date in order to make a good impression
Whether it’s someone you’ve met on Tinder or a blind date, we’ve put together a guide on how to dress for a first date.
A typical first date is going for dinner at a restaurant. This is your chance to make a good impression. If you’re taking your date to a high end, swanky restaurant a suit is your friend for the night.
When deciding what suit to go for we suggest not wearing one which looks like you’ve just stepped out of the office. Instead add some effortless elegant to your look by ditching the tie or wearing separates.
When choosing a bar, it’s crucial you choose wisely as you don’t want to go anywhere too loud where you can’t hear yourself think. The location and the dress code of the bar is very important when it comes to deciding what to wear.
We recommend going for a smart casual look. We suggest a beige herringbone jacket, a white polo shirt and jeans. Why not add an accessory like this Fossil Grant Chronograph watch to add some detailing to your look.
When deciding where to go on a first date, you don’t necessarily need to go to a swanky restaurant. Instead take your date to brunch. This would be the perfect atmosphere if you’re looking for something more casual and chilled.
When choosing what to wear, you should keep your style casual but have a few formal elements. We suggest going for a light blue twill shirt with a white t-shirt underneath, jeans and a pair of Common Projects slip ons.
Now you know how to dress for a first date, the rest is all up to you. We know that dating can be quite nerve wracking, especially if you’re new to the dating scene but just relax, stay calm and be yourself.
