How To Layer Up For Winter.
With the temperature dropping, the weather will start to get much colder. This is when staying warm becomes our main priority. Figuring what to wear can become a struggle, as you want to remain looking stylish without looking as if you’ve thrown everything on from your wardrobe. Which is why we’ve put together a guide on how to layer up for winter.
Shirt, Jumper and Jacket:
Whether heading to the office or attending a business lunch, the shirt, jumper and jacket combo would be perfect. This offers a smart yet relaxed feel to your overall look. When deciding what jumper to wear, a v-neck merino wool in a neutral colour would be best. We suggest this dark blue glencheck with a dark brown windowpane jacket teamed with a grey v-neck jumper, white shirt and a blue knitted tie.
Shirt, Gilet and Suit:
Adding a gilet under your suit is fashion forward and adds extra insulation as well as practicality, especially on those windy days. When you think of a gilet, the first thing that may come to your mind is a flat cap farmer. In order to choose the right gilet, go for a slim, lightly padded one. The main purpose of your gilet is to help keep you warm as well as add a contemporary edge to your look.
Go for this light grey high twisted tropical suit against a white shirt, dark grey gilet and a polka dot burgundy tie. This will definitely add creativity to your look as well as add warmth for those colder days.
Shirt, Cardigan and Jacket:
This is a much more raffish combination compared to the shirt, jumper and jacket combo. Adding a cardigan to your look offers versatility. It can help dress down a formal look as well as dress up a casual one.
Opt for this dark blue hopsack jacket with a burgundy cardigan, pale blue shirt and a navy patterned tie. This would be a great look for a smart-casual look at the office as well as meeting friends for drinks.
