Every customer is different. We all have different proportions, shapes and postures, and these differences can have a big impact on how a suit fits. That's why we combine traditional hand measuring and the experience of our trained tailors with modern 3D body scanning technology.
Our two-step measuring process gives us the best of both worlds — the personal touch of traditional tailoring alongside the detailed information provided by the Size Stream 3D body scanner.
Step One: Try On Your Closest Fit
We begin by taking your measurements by hand and using them to select a suit that is closest to your measurements. You'll then try on the suit so our tailor can see how it sits on your body.
This is an important part of the process because a measurement is only one part of understanding fit. Our trained tailors look at how the jacket sits across your shoulders and chest, how the sleeves and jacket length fall, how the trousers sit and, importantly, how the suit looks on you as a whole.
Our tailors are trained in the art of measuring and fitting, with the knowledge and experience needed to understand how those measurements translate into a great-fitting suit.
Why We Still Measure by Hand
Although technology has come a long way, we believe there's something special about the traditional measuring process. Having one of our tailors measure you personally makes the experience more individual. Our tailors aren't simply recording numbers — they're assessing your shape, proportions and how a suit sits on you.
They can spot subtle differences and make informed decisions based on years of training and experience. For us, the human element of tailoring is something worth keeping.
Step Two: The Size Stream 3D Body Scanner
Once we've completed the traditional measuring and fitting process, we use our Size Stream 3D body scanner to take an even closer look at your body shape.
The scanner creates a detailed 3D representation of your body, giving us valuable information about your overall shape and proportions.
One of the particularly useful aspects of 3D scanning is the ability to see posture and overall body shape. Two customers can have very similar measurements but stand and carry themselves completely differently. The 3D scan can help us understand these differences and gives us another useful reference when considering how a suit should fit.
The Best of Traditional and Modern
For us, it's not about choosing between traditional tailoring and technology. It's about using both together. The hand measurements and suit try-on give our tailors the personal, hands-on information they need.
Our expertise allows us to assess the fit and make decisions based on the individual customer. The Size Stream scanner then gives us another perspective, helping us understand overall body shape and posture in greater detail. Together, these two approaches provide a much more complete picture.
